DEVELOPING INDIVIDUALS, TEAMS AND COACHES

Welcome to Leighton Woodside Football Club's website. Located in Leighton Buzzard, the Club is one of the town’s oldest established teams founded in 1975. The Club is based at Brooklands Middle School and has full use of the playing fields every Saturday morning. We also use the excellent ‘3G’ facilities at Cedars Upper School during weekday evenings to increase training opportunities for teams.

 

Since it was founded, the club has maintained its core values and principles where individual and team development is achieved through a combination of high coaching standards and the latest training techniques. We require all of our managers to have at least an FA Level 1 certificate in coaching and will pay for a parent volunteer who wants to become a team manager. Some of our coaches have also achieved their FA Level 2 Certificate. The Club has a Football Development Manager who sits on the Committee and is responsible for managing all of our team managers; this puts coaching right at the heart of the football club ensuring that all players receive the highest possible standard to help them become the best player they can be.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE

Leighton Woodside has always believed that everyone should have the opportunity to play football, regardless of ability or gender. Every player will get the same opportunity to play in matches as a reward for their commitment, hard work and discipline during training sessions.

​

We will give every player the platform, and work with them to take the opportunity. Once a player reaches competitive football (Under 12's) Leighton Woodside Football Club match time will be at the discretion of the coaches.
